Referee & Official Training

What it takes to be a Superhero!

Being a volunteer assisting in the operations and management of a sport is a highly rewarding duty. It allows you to travel, advance in knowledge, learn leadership skills, and create a huge friendship base. NSKA call it our ‘Karate Family’. You will be shown how to best manage the skills you learn in officiating at all different levels. You have respect from your peers, competitors, and spectators.

Being a referee or official is a process that we assist with. And to help, we offer subsidised and fully funded training opportunities through funding we receive for our ‘Training & Development Program’.

You don’t even have to have martial arts experience! We have a lot of parents who officiate. It’s easy because we teach you and show you what to do. Not to mention, you get the best seats in the house!
